HappyGirl: Happiness has always been something that’s intrigued me. Happy people always seem so confident and put together. I’ve often struggled with happiness. It’s hard to know exactly what makes you happy. But, my happiness has grown a lot over the years. But, my husband still thinks I need to stop stressing and relax. He says I need to stop being so nervous and asking “What if?” He’s right. I don’t do resolutions, but I decided that this year I was going to calm down and be happy - if not for my own health, then for the sanity of my hubby. It was then that things started coming to me - an entire Real Simple Magazine issue titled “Be Happier This Year,” a talk show episode on happiness, and a challenge from the website “The Happiness Project.” So, why not try the things the magazine says to do and listen to Oprah for an hour and try out this Happiness Project? It can’t hurt, and it might even help. So I set a goal – keep a blog for as long as it makes me happy. Update it with the happiness challenges set by others, adding in everything that makes me happy day to day. And see if, when my own little project comes to end, I feel even a little happier than when I started.
